US inflation slips from 4.9% to 4% in May, the lowest in 2 Yrs

Today, June 13, the US Labor Department announced that US inflation rate decreased from 4.9 percent to 4 percent on a year-on-year basis.

This marks the lowest inflation rate in two years. Additionally, on a month-on-month basis, the consumer price index data showed a reduction from 0.4 percent to 0.1 percent, according to the Labor Department.

On a month-on-month basis, the consumer price index data reduced from 0.4 per cent to 0.1 per cent, the Labor Department said.

U.S CORE CPI (YOY) (MAY) ACTUAL: 5.3% VS 5.5% PREVIOUS; EST 5.2%
